Venous Ulcers, arterial ulcers, mixed ulcers for bilateral red legs Dr Elangasinghe and his team has experience in investigating for the underlying cause and treating accordingly. We have facilities to do doppler studies, skin biopsies to rule out skin cancers and also to plan future treatments involving home based care with wound dressings and changes. Compression ??? therapy is also available with the help of our nursing team. On some occasions patients can end up with unnecessary antibiotics as it has been considered to be cellulitis but the majority of the time when bilateral red legs it is not the case, patients suffer from chronic inflammation and destruction of fatty tissue leading to thickening of the skin and finally leading to permanent damage of the anatomy of the legs leading to an inverted champagne bottle appearance. These patients require long term treatment and changes/modifications to their lifestyle.
